Who you're working with

Shirley McGill

An expert in designing strategies and bringing them to life through well-designed programmes and collaborative partnerships, Shirley has over 15 years’ experience in international development across the Pacific region, working with governments, regional agencies, non-government organisations, and the private sector. 

She has designed and managed multi-million dollar development programmes, including strategic planning, portfolio development, project design, building monitoring and evaluation frameworks, developing funding proposals, and providing specialist advice to decision makers at all levels. 

Shirley is a recognised specialist in climate change and disaster risk reduction, with additional experience across a range of sectors including water security, tourism, education, police, private sector development, and renewable energy. 

Shirley thrives on developing innovative, practical solutions to deliver in challenging contexts. She is committed to building strong partnerships and multidisciplinary teams that value diversity of thinking and delivering through complexity. 

Amy McAteer

Amy is an international development and education specialist with a passion for achieving ambitious, innovative outcomes for children and young people. An effective policy and programme leader, she has delivered multi-sectoral, high profile and sector-wide initiatives, both in New Zealand and across the Pacific.

She offers a strong understanding of developing strategic and collaborative relationships, influencing policy and funding positions, and designing impactful and feasible programmes in the social sectors, with a focus on education. 

Amy is recognised for her commitment to partner-led approaches and ability to develop innovation and workable solutions. Her approach is multidisciplinary, evidence-based and collaborative, and she places a deliberate emphasis on equity and inclusion.
